Welcome to WNC MOAA and our new website! I hope you will find plenty of information here to get help you get acquainted or update your calendar. Founded in 1968, WNC MOAA was incorporated as an affiliate into National MOAA in 1969 and has continued as an active and thriving chapter for 50+ years.
We have quarterly meetings where we gather to catch up with friends, find out what’s going on in the chapter, and hear an interesting guest speaker. And we’ve had some extraordinarily great guest speakers! Most of all I hope everyone enjoys the food, fun and fellowship and the inspiration we draw from one another to never stop serving.
I like to think of our continued commitment to serve as a multifaceted jewel that radiates light in all directions, from the heavy lifting done on the National level all the way down to the personal level of neighbor helping neighbor. President John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” From the day we raised our hand to serve until today, as MOAA members, we do exactly that. We ask what can we do to help? And we find a way.
I look forward to our time together and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Donna Culp, CAPT, USAF (Fmr) President
